VC Operations
Core Responsibilities:

Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes. Monitor performances to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.

In the Secretary’s absence, VC Operations will preside over meetings. Oversee internal communications between the association and its members.

Host monthly EC meetings, collect agenda items from the EC, facilitate discussions, maintain attendance, prepare Minutes and initiate polls and sub-committees to run day to day affairs.

Oversee the overall operation and running of affairs in the association. Communicate with EC members regarding their roles, provide resources, resolve conflicts and guide them in achieving success.

Work closely with VC Finance in preparing an annual budget that supports the association’s goals and drives decision-making.

In consultation with the EC, generate an annual calendar of events, provide resources and support.

Have thorough knowledge and understanding of the association’s operations and important financial records. Keep the association apprised of key events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health.

In conjunction with the Chair, Secretary and VC Finance, approve budget for events or workshops which may require funding from the association.

Be accountable to the EC and general members.
Supporting Role:

Support the Chair, Secretary and AC in their respective roles and act as a liaison and point of contact.

Support VC Membership in member recruitment and collection of membership fees. Support VC Public Relations in developing and executing external and internal Public Relations strategies.

Support VC Social Events/Affairs, VC Community Services, VC Cultural Affairs, VC Youth and Children, VC Technical Events, VC Professional Development in their respective roles and initiatives.

Support other EC members in preparing and approving a budget for their respective initiatives.

Collaborate with other ECs in supporting their projects as well as furthering the goals of the association in leadership, service and representation.
